Ralph E. Hoelitzel, 39, Moyie Springs, died today after losing control of his motorcycle while riding in the Herman Lake area.
According to patrol corporal Dave Schuman, Hoeltzel was riding a Suzuki motorcycle west on County Road 74 near the Montana border at about 4 p.m. when he lost control and struck a tree.
Emergency medical technicians initiated CPR and transported Hoeltzel to Boundary Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of severe head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred.
