January 29, 2004
Boundary County Sheriff George Voyles announced
the first of a series of annual public meetings to let folks learn more about
what the office does.
According to Voyles, these will become an annual event, with members of the
Sheriff's staff presenting overviews on the budget and the different
departments, including detention, patrol, communications and administration.
The first meeting takes place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, at Mt. Hall
School; the next takes place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, at the Naples
Fire Department; then again at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 12, at the Moyie
Community Hall; the last meeting takes place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, at
the National Guard Armory on the South Hill in Bonners Ferry.
Everyone in the community is welcome. In addition to sharing information about
the department, Voyles said he and members of the staff will also be listening
to your concerns and comments about what you'd like to see accomplished by the
sheriffs department.
