The Details:

Course: 5K (3.1 mile) and 10K (6.2 mile) courses in and around the city of Bonners Ferry. Both courses start and finish at the fairgrounds, which is four blocks west of downtown. Courses cross the Kootenai River bridge twice.

 

Cost: $13.00 ($18.00 Canadian) with T-shirt, $6.00 ($8.00 Canadian) without T-shirt. (Net proceeds will be used to provide deserving local student runners with scholarships and to help support the Bonners Ferry High School cross country program.)

 

Entry Deadline: To assure the receipt of a T-shirt on race day, entries must be post-marked by June 2, 2003. Shirts may be mailed to late entrants. Entries will be accepted on the morning of the race.

 

Check in: At the Boundary County Fairgrounds parking lot from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

 

Aid Stations: At the start/finish line and near the 1 and 2 mile points for 5K runners and near the 1, 2, 4, and 5 mile points for 10K runners.

 

Awards: Trophies will be presented to overall male and female winners in each race. Ribbons also will be given to the top three finishers in the following male and female age groups.

1-11 years, 12-15 years, 16-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years

40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, 70 years +

 

Door prizes: There will be drawings for numerous door prizes during the awards ceremony.

 

Shirts: Each race finisher will receive an embroidered T-shirt unless the no-shirt option was chosen.
